Donald loves Daisy but seemed traumatised by arrival of strange pointy beaked creatures.

Daisy is queen of the coop, everyone follows her round.

Bill thinks he's a duckling but soon learned he didn't like swimming.

Ben's a cool chick and fits in with any crowd. He's our Uberchick.
Number Five survived a traumatic assisted birth after his egg shell dried up and stuck to him. He looks pretty ugly right now but we hope he'll improve.

They are just too cute. I think they are filling the void left in my life by lack of chocolate and lucozade...

Maybe I could train them to follow me and lead them on Race for Life!

Am doing pretty well with healthy eating so far. Haven't had any crisps, chocolate or lucozade which was my previous daily diet. Thought I might be struggling without a Norwich branch of Lucozade Anonymous.

Haven't got very far with actual training due to Norwich weather which is currently ranging wild winds and lots of rain. I should be more deicated and braving the elements but I can't be brave without lucozade - not yet anyway!

Biggest excitement today was hatching of eggs in incubator at school. We now have 2 ducklings, Donald and Daisy. They look cute but are rather uncoordinated. Word in staffroom was they may be special needs ducklings but we'll wait and see!

Off to get healthy snack... bananas here I come...

This sudden decision was inspired by my friend Jenny (who can generally convince me to do anything).

It may well come as a shock to many of my friends as I'm really more the relaxing, reading, sleeping kind of person than a exercise fan... but I think it's an important cause so I'm dragging myself out of the armchair and going for it!

My Race for Life number, T-shirt and cap have arived, so the training regime starts here!

1 Get rid of junk food (check!)
2 Stock up on healthy food (check!)
3 Make up training rota (check!)
